Overload Limitor

Product Description

The crane limiter is the overload protection device of the crane. The overload operation of the crane is one of the important reasons for the accident of the crane.

The excessive stress generated by the overload operation can damage the transmission parts, break the steel wire rope, deform the structure and fail the braking, resulting in the downward deflection of the main beam of the crane, cracks and desoldering of the upper cover plate and web plate of the main beam, It will also cause major accidents such as boom and tower body breaking, and also cause motor overload and motor burning of electrical system. Therefore, overload is invented as protection.

Use

Type:
Overload Limitor – Pin Type: This type uses a load-sensing pin built into the crane’s lifting parts to detect strain under load.
Overload Limitor – Clamp Type: Clamped onto the wire rope, this limiter measures tension without modifying the crane.
Overload Limitor – Foot-Mounted: Installed at the base of the hoist motor or gearbox, it detects overload through torque or strain.
Overload Limitor – Current Type: This type monitors the electrical current drawn by the hoist motor. Increased load raises current, and when it exceeds a set limit, the limiter activates.
