Industry-academia collaboration: Reshaping industry boundaries through “innovation”

The completion of the Nante Intelligent Lifting Research and Development Center is a testament to Nante’s fifteen years of dedicated work in the industry and its unwavering commitment to technological empowerment. The center was jointly established by Nante and the Artificial Intelligence Institute of Zhejiang Gongshang University, and has formed deep strategic partnerships with global industrial giants Schneider Electric and SEW (China).

Under the leadership of Professor Wei Guiyi, a doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang Gongshang University, the research and development center will precisely focus on cutting-edge fields such as energy conservation, full-process automation, IoT-based intelligent operation and maintenance, and fault self-recovery for lifting equipment. This is not just a laboratory, but also Nante’s “innovation engine” for the future, aiming to overcome industry challenges through the integration of top global resources and lead the Chinese lifting industry in achieving a leapfrog upgrade from “traditional manufacturing” to “excellent intelligent manufacturing.”

Guest Remarks: Discussing a New Vision for Globalized Development

At the ceremony, two distinguished guests delivered insightful speeches:
Song Lin, Vice President of the Shaoxing Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, mentioned in his speech that Nante Crane, as the rotating chairman unit of the Shaoxing International Chamber of Commerce, is an outstanding representative of Shaoxing’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry and an important force in bringing “Made in Shaoxing” to the world. He highly praised Nante’s steady progress over the years and encouraged Nante to continue playing a leading role in the industry and to further enhance the reputation of “Made in China” on the international stage.

Subsequently, Professor Wei Guiyi of Zhejiang Gongshang University delivered a forward-looking speech. He highly praised Nante Crane’s determination in technological innovation: “The ultimate value of artificial intelligence lies in empowering various industries. Our decision to jointly establish a research and development center with Nante is based on years of deep mutual trust and technological accumulation in the fields of crane automation and IoT platforms. This center is not only a laboratory but also an ‘innovation engine’ for the future of the crane industry. We will focus on green energy saving, full-process automation, and predictive intelligent operation and maintenance, striving to break through industry bottlenecks. I firmly believe that Nante can efficiently transform the cutting-edge achievements of the laboratory into market-leading products, truly achieving a perfect closed loop of ‘production, learning, research, and application,’ contributing powerful momentum to China’s intelligent manufacturing!”

Finally, in response to the heartfelt remarks from the two guests, Mr. Zheng, General Manager of Nante Crane, made a firm commitment: Nante Crane will unswervingly advance its core strategies of “technological innovation, brand building, digital empowerment, and global localization.” We will use this collaboration as a new starting point, continuously increase R&D investment, and deepen the collaborative innovation mechanism between industry, academia, and research institutions. We strive to become a prominent “Chinese benchmark” in the transformation and upgrading process of the global crane industry.

Grand Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony: Embarking on a New Journey of International Brand Development
At the climax of the ceremony, distinguished guests from China and abroad – including Professor Wei Guiyi, Vice President Song Lin, Minister Jiang Jianfeng, Director Wang Liang, Director Yang Huajun, General Manager Zheng Fanggan, and representatives from French and Thai clients – jointly cut the red ribbon.

Experiencing Nantes’ “Smart, Green, and Harmonious” Approach Through a Site Visit
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, General Manager Zheng Fanggan led the guests into the modern, intelligent garden factory, a project that involved an investment of hundreds of millions of yuan. Strolling through the 3,500-square-meter cloud-based R&D center, the guests experienced firsthand how Nantes has transformed the concepts of “intelligent manufacturing, green production, and harmonious factory” from blueprints into reality.
